The origin of the cigar mark Alejandro Lopez starts in Spain, in the province of Asturias. Here the family lived for centuries when Don Alejandro moved his family in the direction of Panama. This happens in 1886 and Don Alejandro is 20 years old. Arriving in Panama, they began to grow tobacco for the cigar industry in Chiriqui. 24 years later, he decided to leave Panama and settle in the Dominican Republic, and there he also began to grow tobacco. However, Don Alejandro wants to grow more and a little 10 years later, he opened his first cigar production plant in Santiago de los Caballeros. He worked there until his death in 1948.
Now, 60 years later at the factory in Santiago, long filler cigars are still produced.
