Trinidad are cigars bursting with exquisite flavour, rolled with beautiful Cuban tobacco from the world's best tobacco growing region.
Trinidad is a brand that originates from two different brands. One is the famous Habanos, the other is Altadis, which again originates from another brand called Imperial Tobacco. The name Trinidad comes from the city of Trinidad located in Cuba. It firstly started its production in 1969 at the El Laguito factory located in Havana, like a lot of cigar productions are.
In the early 90's, Trinidad cigars received a lot of attention, which was sparked by an interview with Avelino Lara, which was a cigar producer who produced for the Graycliff Hotel located in the Bahamas. In the interview he made clear that Trinidad was an ultra-exclusive brand only Fidel Castro was authorized to hand out, in the form of diplomatic gifts. He also said that Trinidad cigars were of a higher quality than the much loved Cohiba cigars that formerly were used as diplomatic exclusives as well. Safe to say that Lara made a bold statement, but it did make the cigars more popular. Find out for yourself and order at Tabakado!
