The origin of the cigar mark Alejandro Lopez starts in Spain, in the province of Asturias to be precise. Here the family lives for centuries when Don Alejandro moves his family in the direction of Panama. This happens in 1886 and Don Alejandro is 20 years old. Arriving in Panama, we begin to grow tobacco for the cigar industry in Chiriqui. 24 years later, he decided to leave Panama and settle in the Dominican Republic, and here he also begins to grow tobacco. However, Don Alejandro wants to grow more and a little 10 years later, he opens his first cigar production plant in Santiago de los Caballeros. He will work there until his death in 1948.
Now at the factory in Santiago, Longfiller cigars are still 60 years later.
